Suggest Alternative Solutions to Ning

Assisting and Encouraging Fellow Ning Network Creators with Free Networks

With the recent announcement by Ning: ..."phasing out free sites", this Group has been created to give a place where fellow Network Creators can assist, and encourage each other, and suggest alternative solutions to Ning.

Please offer and discuss possible solutions, for owners of free Ning Networks. And most of all, let's all offer encouragement to our fellow Ning Network Creators.

Most of the free sites are people who are shut-ins and on a fixed income, and the fixed income still may changed for some.

The handiccapped and people without a way to make friends, depend on social networks to communicate and make friends and learn things that interests them.

Ning is user friendly and this is why most people sign up. Now they are losing everything, losing a friend or many friends is like losing a family.

And if it was not for the free ning sites less people will come here . Then less people will not be clicking on the business sites.

They would take their business interests, even a buyer to the network they join. Not the network that cause them sadness.

I am also interested in visual ideas since I am a fine art site. It might take me a while to figure these things out on Spruz. If you add me as a friend on Spruz we can share what we figure out. I usually keep my sites simple so not as to take away from the art work. I do use banners and would like to change how things look the layout and appearance of the pages. It is trial an error for me. I want to add slide shows and clear photos. I am not sure about magical graphics since this is something that might take away from fine art images. I like the visual effects that sites like Path of the Crafts mentions. I do not know how to add these yet. I do not need this feature but understand how important it is to her site. If I find out anything about it I will share what I know. Banner making might be easier to figure out.

I would be glad to discuss and learn how to navigate Spruz with others on this site. I added Path of the Craft as a friend so we can discuss spruz. I am not a computer expert infact I muddle through a lot. I will share what I have figured out about spruz etc.
