Wild Apricot

OK Jen asked me to help find alternate sites, so I'm here:)
I think it might be easier to post about one site per discussion...
To make it easier to find information:)

First Site: WildApricot

I used to have a Wild Apricot site, but left it for another site, which I then left for Ning:)
Now the reason I left it was because it was UGLY....
BUT since then I've learned a bit more about CSS, which is what it uses to customize it.

They do have several different plans, including FREE...
And you will notice they ALSO have a system for collecting membership dues:)***

Here were my favorite sites:

U3A Olivia: I like their "Admin" listing. They also had a useful company directory... Although I would have merged the two. Had a simple but attractive way to display groups (please note these are in no way similar to Ning groups) on their groups page. You will also note that they had a section that was password-protected for members only.
Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce: Great design, first of all! They also had a neat history area.
TEACH: Great design:)
Grapevine AMBUCS: Great design:) I really like the member directory they offer. Although perhaps not as fun as a profile, it seems it would be useful for business people:)
La Habra High School Alumni Association: AWESOME DESIGN! They also have a neat reference area, history area, and please note that their navigation area has THREE levels!

Thanks, and you're welcome:) I used it a while back but I couldn't get it to look good because I didn't know CSS then. (I still don't really know it, but I do more than I did) I mentioned it once or twice when a couple of people wanted to leave before, but everyone thought it was too ugly. I did more research this time, before I just posted a link:)
