Wow, so much discussion on Creators.ning.com, we need more than Goggles to dodge the flying debris. Maybe a pair of knee high boots would help, too?

Ning 3.0 - - With all that's been discussed, from boycotts to debates, promises and rumors, you staying or going?

I'm up for the challenge, excited about the end product, and moving forward. What about you?

Drilling Ahead,

There is no way that I can't appreciate your feelings and creative way of expressing them. =) I'm sure you're right about bandwidth, no doubt. Videos suck it up in such an extreme way. But, I think charging more is for funding the platform growth, and just business  - - but just my thoughts. Thank you for your input.

Best Regards,

Jen

Hi all.

Quedo. No I like change but I hope that will be a greater good for the community.

Should get special prices for Latin America since obviously incomes are lower than elsewhere.

Expect to customizing the network more functional programming but not more complex.

Greetings.

Hey Everyone!

I am staying and I'm excited about where 3.0 is going. But being a person that knows next to nothing about coding, I am sure that I am going to end up having to rely on tips and possibly hire someone to help me get the look that I really want. Luckily, I have time. I have a sandbox site and  I'm enjoying planning the new flow and look for my members.

I was very happy to see that you, Jen, were optimistic about the changes but I am sorry to hear about all the NC's that have been providing themes and tips for so long having to start over.

Since I have been with Ning, I have always watched closely to what other creators have said about the services provided and have seen many people ask for some of the things that Ning is trying to add. So I see this as progress but as many have said change usually costs something whether it be money or time. Just wish that it didn't have to cause pain for some. I will adapt.

Hi Verna,

Nice to see you again! Thank you for your input. Sounds like a great plan. =)

Let us know if you need professional ning design assistance.

Best of luck,

Jen

Hello Jen

Do you have examples of Ning networks 3.0?

Thank you!

Yio,

I do. But they're not quite ready for prime time. I missed about a week of work, first time in years. And, trying to finish them up. I'll let you know. You will probably find several here:

Ok great Jen!

Thank you!

Funny, Ruby for Women! I just said the same thing, how much I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts. I look forward to reading yours, tomorrow.

=)

Hi Ruby for Women,

I hope you get your sandbox site! Yeah, it won't be easy for the members to lose their profile page customization. But I believe most will enjoy creating a new page - - that is, if Ning does what I believe is the plan; they're supposed to enable profile page customization, and add a good deal of new themes. Time will tell.

Thank you for your time and thoughts,

Jen

Are you sure no other platform has good member profiles like Ning 2.0 does. Oxwall is totally flexible on just that issue. You can design or your members can also. It goes further than that there are plugins to enhance profiles and of course one has total access to the source code.

Hi Everyone!

It's time for me to give this back a rest. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all the different views and thoughts on this. Thank you all for your time and shares. =)

Thanks again,

Jen

Thank for you!
