Wow, so much discussion on Creators.ning.com, we need more than Goggles to dodge the flying debris. Maybe a pair of knee high boots would help, too?
Ning 3.0 - - With all that's been discussed, from boycotts to debates, promises and rumors, you staying or going?
I'm up for the challenge, excited about the end product, and moving forward. What about you?

Jens,
I'm not sure how Ning will handle these type profile questions with the migration tool. I hope they will make much improvement to the Profile Pages (design, profile questions, layout options, etc...)
In regards to your question that Predestined by God asked as well, please see my answer here. Your site design CSS and scripts will not transfer, sorry to say.
Best of luck,
Jen
Hi Jen,
your link "please see my answer here" leads to your answer here http://jensocial.com/xn/detail/2154984:Comment:492182 ...
Hi Jens,
Not sure what happened with the link. Here's what I wrote Predestined by God:
Hi PbG,
Good to see you. =) Unfortunately, the answer to your question: "Will my site still look the same or do I have to rebuild everything from scratch again? Will my scripts, CSS, and codes work with the new upgrade?"
No, your site design or scripts will not transfer. When Ning added the responsive design (website adjusts to device screen, instead of a mobile version), all CSS classes were renamed. You might find the detailed review I wrote, helpful.
Yeah, I was very disappointed that Ning was bragging about DIVAlicious. I'm not impressed with the flow or design. I believe the page load time will improve as 3.0 progresses and matures. And, I can guarantee a 3.0 site can look much better.
Sorry to be the bearer of this news. It's tough on a lot of us, especially tipsters and Designers like myself. But, I do like the idea of the platform being built on a responsive grid, the power behind being able to build multiple modules, and moving forward into the future.
Best of luck,
Jen
I shall definately be migrating over to 3 when the time comes, I have a sandbox at the moment and I am loving it, I think Ning 3 is going to be really great by the time they have added all of the features, it is definately more streamlined and professional looking. I just need to get my head around the new design studio and coding!
No one is forcing you to have a "professional looking" site. You can customize this platform any way you want, just like on 2.0, but even better. I don't understand why people think 3.0 is going to restrict them, when it's just the opposite! You can find the perfect background for your new network that will give it the look and feel that you want. It doesn't have to look like Facebook or some lawyer's site. Mine doesn't!
Sweet!! Thank you for clarifying that for me (and hopefully everyone else!) Writer Chick!
I have already left, with prices hikes and not meeting our needs, i had no choice....Bought my own server and now im using oxwall software ...Possibilities there are endless. My new site http://www.myvirgo.info i even managed to transfer my members to the oxwall platform thanks to developers and people who are just like TJ, Jen and many more...Plugins are even cheap you pay for what you need from as little as $3 you can build your site to the way you want.
I agree with Lunatics, in so far that we ALL don't want a "professional" looking site. My site is about Witchcraft...hello. We all know it's an OLD art, and I try to convey that in the look of the site.
Good on you and I bet your just as satisfied as I am being really in charge of your own community site or sites. Oxwall is in my opinion the best community software in the market place. However the wall.fm net worked version has had and will have many problems that upsets one sites membership. Any one wants help Code Whacker is there for them. Just google us for free advice and help.
your very welcome to
