Hello Everyone!

I originally posted this question in the ning tips, I was looking for tips on how to fix the problem I have!

The screen shot explains better what I mean!

When I was coding of course  I was making the code for a profile page,

But I had in mind to transfer it to the site that I administrate!

And most of the things look fine! but as you see the members section,

Each member info is overlapped one over another more or less,

Jen gave me this command widget!

The rare thing it fixed the problem but one minute later returned to the original look (like the one above), plus originally when pasted that code the first page looked fine,

but when I clicked to the next members section or second page it was the same way as always have been!

Does this code missing something?

.xg_widget_profiles_members .member_item {height: 130px!important;}
I tried different sizes up to 300px and didnt work!
It worked just for a minute but not more than that!
Can anybody help me to find a solution to this dilemma?
This are the words for the original discussion that I made in the wrong place :)
Hello Everyone!
I need some help!
I reviewed all the tips on here! (lol I spent mnay hours looking :)
And haven't find anything that would help me with my problem!
I was designing a code or new page for a website that I administrate! (I designed :)
But the thing is, I don't know how to fix in the members section this problem! (still haven't find a way to fix that :)
When we want to add a comment or give a gift to a member and we click them info,
It happens that we click another members page, this is due as the picture above shows,
Due to the letters or the lines that divide each member are overlapped or one over another!
Can somebody tell me how to make them right, (to make it permanent, the code worksfor a minute)
what do I need to tweak or fix in the coding!
I want each member have its own comment and gift!
(I was thinking in the members of lightgrid, to have them comments instead of someone else, as when overlaps, is hard to see or we click the wrong "add a comment" :)
Thank you for your help!
How can I make the line that divides (the members info) bigger or the letters smaller?
Thanks

The underlined words I just added to explain myself better :)
Your help is very much apreciated.....
Thank you so much

Arthur,

I want to help out, so will add the potential solution here. The reason you didn't find a tip for this issue, is this is very unique to your customized theme.

In the future if you could add to Support Questions as mentioned earlier, that would be awesome.

Try adding this to the bottom of your Advanced CSS via My Network/Settings/Appearance/Advanced CSS

Adjust the height: 130px as needed. And also, best case scenario, if you can locate this specific line of code in your CSS and replace the value, that would be better. Otherwise, be sure to add to bottom of code.

.xg_widget_profiles_members .member_item {height: 130px!important;}

Hope that helps,

Jen

Thanks Arthur for going to that trouble. I just meant in the future, since I had answered the original question.

Now, wonder what's happened and why my fix didn't work? Any chance you signed out after you added this code? Anytime you make a CSS change and sign out, it takes about 20 minutes for the signed out version to show up - - which is maddening for me as a Designer. I never have understood the logic behind that, but oh well. Back to your issue...I'll look again.

Best Regards,

Jen

Hi Arthur,

I believe this is what happened. I add the main class identifier for the member page module:

.xg_widget_profiles_members - - to the beginning of the code I provided. I did this, hoping our code wouldn't effect the member block height anywhere on your site, like say the profile pages.

What I failed to do was test beyond the first page, and for that I apologize. It appears that the class:
.xg_widget_profiles_members - - does specifically assign attributes to the first page only. It was my way of playing it safe.

So with all that said, do this, add this code instead of the first I provided:
.member_item {height: 130px!important;}

Check other pages where member icons show up and make sure nothing is out of whack.

Hope that finally does it,
;-)
Jen

You really are an angel :)

I have no way to express my gratitude :)

I will test it right away! and see how it works!

'crossing fingers'

You did wisely and thats very good!

I will check everything!

Hugs and Blessings Jen!

BRB :)
