How-To Add Javascript to New Page

Ever tried to add javascript to a new page or discussion box, just for the code to be stripped?

Try wrapping your code in a DIV. I've found that this works for me.

For example, if I wanted to add a PollDaddy Poll using the javascript code, I would paste to a new page like this:

<div><script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="http://static.polldaddy.com/p/3518466.js"></script>
<noscript>
    <a href="http://polldaddy.com/poll/3518466/">Ning Network Creators - What Premium Plan Are You Choosing?</a><span style="font-size:9px;"><a href="http://polldaddy.com/features-surveys/">customer surveys</a></span>
</noscript></div>

Cool, glad you like it. If you don't mind, do let me know if this works for you. The reason I say this, I have noticed over time and editing 100s of Ning sites, some things react differently on different sites. I don't know if it's due to something on the backend not being updated across the board, or what.

I just tested it on my network and it works in pages but not in forums. Thanks for the tip as now I know I can use this in pages. You are right some network have pecularities that make them more or less useful. I have a network like that that will allow me to post content to facebook by merely featuring it. This is back when they allowed you to create facebook applications. I choose the one for video.

Interesting for sure. Thank you for the feedback. At least we know it works on more than one network for pages. So far, it's worked on probably upwards of 50+ for me and Clients. But again like you reported, this has mostly been in new pages.
