It really is starting to bug me majorly. I have tried to remove ning apps to add new ones but no matter what I did it keeps telling me I have reached my maximum of 5 ning apps and have to remove one before adding a new one.

I have removed the tabs numerous times but that did not help at all. I even tried to remove the apps (since all members have them, too) from my own profile page but that didn't work either.

There is an error in my community somewhere. I can't contact all 5 ning apps providers and ask them remove it from my community can I? I don't really feel like doing that anyways lol so is there any other way?

l think you should try to close your browser and open again or even try to refresh the page and see if these two things may help
I have tried that numerous times the apps are still all there :(
This could do the trick too, especially if you clear your cache.

If you've never cleared the cache:
Sign-in as Creator and enter this line in your browser address bar:
http://yourning.ning.com/lib/scripts/invalidateCache.php
* Change yourning to your name

You should receive this message:
✔ XN cache invalidated
Well everytime I go offline my software deletes all browser activites such as history and log ins...is that clearing cache?

hm ok so delete the applications via tab manager, right? then log out sign back in and add that line above? but I have a main domain name http://www.Successful-Women-Network.com so do I add /lib/scripts/invalidateCache.php to my main domain name?

and what happens after I receive that message? and where do I recieve that message?

ok i did this with main domain name and ning name and this is what I got:

now I logged completely out and back in, went to tab manager to add a new app and it still says:

You've reached the maximum number of Ning Apps you can add to your Ning Network. Remove a Ning App to add a new one, or browse the Ning App Directory.
No, you haven't messed up anything - - not to worry. I forgot to emphasize: if you use your own domain, you need to use your ning address. Maybe you did though?

If you can't clear the cache, you may want to report to Ning Support. Don't forget. You must be signed in as Creator to clear cache.

In regards to your question about clearing cache, cookies, etc... in your browser, this is different in that, it clears the cache for the files and updates on the Ning server where your site is stored - - if that makes sense.

At this point, I really don't expect clear cache to remove some apps. I think it's a bug that Ning will need to improve upon. With that said, you all are going to need to see if the individual App Developers will help, or submit a support ticket.

I guess this isnt working for me then I signed in as creator (owner of the network) and used my ning domain and received above error

Removing the tabs is supposed to work. But unfortunately I heard recently, it does not remove all apps. I saw where a member on the Ning Creator site stated, you have to write the Ning App developer and ask for them to remove it. And I think I suggest: submitting a support ticket directly to Ning.

yeah I heard that too Jen usually everything works on my community its just the stupid apps lol
Have you try to go and set the setting "Let members add app to their Page" and see if setting that one way or the other to see if this would help. Or maybe this does not apply to that kind. Just rolling thoughts around in my head.
Very thoughtful of you to brainstorm and throw out ideas.

no I havent done that yet. My 5 apps I added at the very beginning are also in every members profile. hye have the same 5 apps. ow do I set that for the members?
