Hopefully this will not effect anything else. Add this code to the bottom of your CSS via:
Manage/Appearance/Advanced CSS
.xg_widget_main .module_forum .xg_module_foot .left {display:none;}

Oh thank you thank you so much :D....it worked like a charm and now people will put things in to the proper categories :D...I love this site lol

hm Jen this makes me think lol
if we can remove link for discussion then we could remove the same links for all other modules which in turn makes it to get away from the typical "NING look" again. Am i right? lol

So do I have to do that for each module individually?

Yep, makes sense. You should be able to remove all with this one line:
.xg_widget_main .xg_module_foot .left {display:none;}

I'm not sure if this CSS class is assigned to anything else on the home page. I don't think so.
