This video, and the bullet list that follows the video stats, originated from Erik Qualman of Socialnomics.com If you would like to see the sources Erik used to compile the video, please go to article on: Socialnomics.com

I can't say that I agree with all of the non-statistic claims (opinions) on this video. Otherwise, it's pretty thought provoking, and really - - remarkable what Social Media/Networking has offered to online communication.

Here's the question for the Internet savvy, and maybe even the person who rarely uses the Internet: Do we have a choice? Will you be left behind if you don't jump on the Social Media bandwagon? Stay tuned, I will cover more on this topic later.

"thought provoking" As you said however i also am rooting thru my reading material to find an equally thought provoking part of this social online storyboard ;(failing that i will proceed to express my recollection of the spoken of material) ; It had to do with the fact that although there is a markedly upward trend in social sites joining there is an equally disturbing fact being overlooked.
And that is the shock of realizing that joining also comes with expectations , when the dust settles and the new social site wonderer realizes that all those new sites now need regular updates and maintenance the shine fades real fast for most of the "fad followers" !
