Would love some feedback for wohomusic

Hello!

I would really appreciate some feedback on our site layout. We are building a nice community and have tried to make it as friendly and easy to navigate for musicians and fans whilst trying to not appear too basic.

Specifically:
1. What is your first impression when visiting the homepage? www.wohomusic.net
2. We have experimented with our tab layout to try to get members to use the tabs more as well as put lots of links but still not 'give it all away' on the homepage. Do you find the tabs self explanatory?
3. Colours? I recently changed the page backgrounds to a ligher colour (we previously had all black with a transluscent logo behind, but wanted to put the emphasis back into the content and not distract.
4. Any other comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

First impression is very good. Your site is clean and professional, yet far from being boring. Something about the background color (light yellow) is super pleasing for the eyes, especially great for tired eyes. I love the logo, the slideshow, and the overall look/feel and feeling of good content.

The only thing I noticed that might could be improved upon: the members are below the fold, and not a lot of attention being given to members. I realize it's all about the music. But might be nice to add a little more emphasis on members.

The tabs don't mean that much to me, but my brain is tired tonight.

Point taken regarding the members and I'll see what I can do about making the members more key. We regularly feature them, which they do love and feel quite pleased about when they get featured , well at least some of them do! :)

Thanks again. I've been (silently) following your tips on the creators forum for ages and I'm very glad I found this place, it seems a haven of knowledge and tips :-)
