Make picture slideshow go to a specific link

Hi, I'm new here and so far my site has improved significantly. I'm on Ning.

I have a question: I have a picture slideshow on my site (luzal.com) currently if I click on the pictures it goes to the "photo" page where that picture is saved. I want click on a picture on the home page and have a link that sends me to the event associated with that picture or another website.

I looked through all the tips ( I think ) and I found some great hacks that make my site more user-friendly. One of them is to update the status on the home page. Can I do it so that it doesnt' send me to the profile page after I submite my update? Can I change the color of the "bubble".

Last one for today: Is there a way to organize events by category AND location?

Yes, this is correct; the built-in Ning photo slide show will take you to the original photo when clicked. There are many slideshows online that can be coded to specify where to go when clicking on a photo or image. However, they all take several files to work, and get a little complicated.

In regards to your questions:

No, I don't know of a way to keep the user from being taken to their profile page. I suspect someday in the future, Ning will enable us to add a native Status Update to the home page, instead of a hack. On exchanging the bubble background, you can use the new one I provided, or just use colors, as explained here:

On your question about Events, currently the only way to organize Events is via the "Event Type" field and tags.
