Wow, I just realized I have a lot of questions..

I want to have a tab on my page where people can list the church they go and allow members to join. So it is really a group, but I want it to be under a "churches" tab and I want it to say "Add Your Church" "all churches" "featured churches" etc. I don't want to get rid of the regular groups I just want to copy it and have it for churches.

Do you think this is possible? I'm going to be trying to figure it out on my own, but since I have NO coding knowledge I figure it's easier to come here..

Thanks everyone, and God bless you

This is relatively simple to do without any coding expericnece if you use location as a category.

1) For every group that is a church make sure that the location says church

2) Copy the url for that location and use it as the link for the tab "All Churches"

3) For adding a church you can use the same "add a group" link but you would have to find some way to educate members to add "church" as the location. I personally do not allow any member to create groups. I take requests to create groups to avoid dealing with potential conflicts with group leaders who may go rogue.

4) As far as featured you could append the location to say "church-ftrd" but the group leaders if untrustworthy could feature their own churches. Another option is for you to create a group called featured churches and add links to the churches you want to feature and then have the "fearured churches" link go to that group. You would have full control over the group and what gets listed so that might be the way to go.

There may other ways that people chime in about that that is one way I see of doing it. If you have any questions about anything I said feel free to leave a reply. :D

Thanks Garfield!

I may add some thoughts tomorrow. Only evening off, and running. Appreciate your input very much.

btw, Text Editor messing up, and wouldn't let me reply directly to your post. :(

Happy to help where I can.  Ning is also so flexible in that there are often more than one way to accomplish something which is why I said others may chime in. There's always plenty to learn and discover.

Nice advice Garfield. I'm checking messages one last time...LOL!

This tip may be of interest to you. Just use the word Church in place of Ning.
