PART 1: 3rd Party Commenting Tip for Ning : Killer Working Tip for Blogs, Videos, Photos & Forums

Oi Mates,

 

A lot of creators have been waiting for or wanting this feature, so here is something that i cooked up for you, It works 100% with no errors whatsoever....But if you see anything weird things or errors let me know.

This will Show in your Forums / Discussions, Blogs, Videos, Photos - See examples below :

  1.  Forums  - See example
  2. Videos - See example
  3. Photo's - See example
  4. Blogs - See example

Here is the Code which needs to go to your Analytics Page / Custom Code page, Remember your Shortname on your Disqus Site Identity should replace the red, This can be found on your disqus link, it should be something like this - http://shortname.disqus.com/- and can be found here : http://shortname.disqus.com/admin/settings/general/ Which goes below on the script where the red is :

Hi Guys,

A lot fo you seems to be keen in having this on your networks, but are struggling. To be honest i cant dedicate time to help you all since we are all on different time zones so by the time you read this you're sleeping and by the time i read your reply im sleeping. So this is going to take forever to sort out.

To make things easy and to show that it works im willing to add this to 20 Networks for free so the 1st 20 Creators i will implement for you, i've done such research and noticed that each network has different layouts and scripts install so my red apple may be a green apple to you so i willl join your network, make me an admin and i will investigate and see whats your network fruit colour.

Hi Jen,

Nice tip...Question, what will happen to the comments that already on the site? Will this feature replace them, or they will remain on the content?

Hi Anthony,

This shouldn't affect your Ning Comment walls. I haven't installed this in several years, so really not sure how well it works with the Ning platform. Years ago, it was too slow. I'm assuming it's better.

"comments powered by DISQUS"  at the very bottom of the page is all I get anytime i try to add this
