I have a company that want to advertise on my site.  The ad they sent over is a flash file--it has a "FLA" file and a "shockwave flash object" file.

I did a search on creators, which takes forever btw, and came up with this code that was posted by Jen.

<object width="712" height="96"><param name="movie" value="http://maxxtraining.com/GFM1.swf" ></param>
<embed wmode="opaque" src="http://maxxtraining.com/GFM1.swf" width="712" height="96"></embed></object>

Something is not working correctly.....

When I install the code and save, the banner looks fine. When I refresh the page, the banner shrinks in size.  When I click edit, I see my original code, then the flash box--so I click on HTML and my code is replaced with the following:

<object height="64" width="475" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000">
<param name="src" value="http://maxxtraining.com/GFM1.swf" />
<param name="wmode" value="opaque" /> </object>

Click cancel and everything is fine again, until I refresh and then the banner shrinks once again.

I figured out the problem--I am using a two column hack in the old design center, and on refresh, the banner is being resized to fit the wide column in the 3 column layout.  Any tips on how to keep it the correct size?

Is this installed now? If yes, the link?

I found it. I can't test it in firebug because of the refreshing. Try this and see if it will hold:

Oh my, the comment box is changing the dimensions. See attached file.

Hello Jen or Creator friends:

I have been trying to put a flash menú on my network: www.inteligenciae.mx but I haven't been able to get funtion of those links when I put it on the text box.

Will anyone would be so kind to fix me this code?

<

Get Adobe Flash player

    <!--<![endif]--></object>

Thanks!

Mauricio,

This code should work. I tried my generic code, and the links still do not work. I'm not sure what it needs to fix this.

Best,

Jen

No, that didn't work either.  Still refreshes into another size.  I have noticed it is doing it in comment boxes, like it did below for you.  So it's not my column layout.  Can I call it from the custom code box?
If you get it to work, I will join the VIP club =)

Now Dear, you know I can do it. So, you might as well go ahead and join. Besides you'll love the group. I guarantee it.

;-)

Maybe I lied. LOL!!!!!!! I'll try again soon.

It is the 2 column hero box hack. Using the code I gave you, I have it working fine on a test site in a wide text box, and in the footer. I could only force a comment to a certain width, but the text boxes are fine.

I'll look into the hero box settings when I can.

Best,

Jen

I'm not seeing the hero box code.
I don't think I used the hero box hack.  It is just the two column hack.
Any other ideas Jen?  Or am I going to be resigned to uploading the new design center to get it to work properly?  I really hate to do that.

Possibly. Just looked. Good choice. It looks great.

Best,

Jen
