The new Facebook/Google/Yahoo sign-up/sign-in just enables your members and new members, to use their Sign-In IDs from one of the three, to join your Network.

It's save the step of them having to enter email.

It keeps them from needing yet another sign-in username/password.

It offers a trust factor to your site - - so many people trust these 3.

yes but it wont work for me.. says i already  have facebook  set up and i will have to create a new fan page it says.. so that tells me that everything we share will go to the new fan page.. is that  correct ? i cant lose a fan page i have alreday created..  i do want this sign in feature  i have it for yahoo and twitter .. but facebook wouldnt let me unless i change what i had already... it wont even let me put a check mark for the facebook sign in feature

Let me try again, answered and the reply didn't save.

 

I wouldn't be able to help on this, because it's too risky and confusing. I stay a little dazed myself with the FB apps. This is confusing for me because I didn't receive any messages about the overall FB app when I enabled the new FB sign-in/sign-up.

 

I suggest submitting a support ticket to Ning, or this may help on your overall FB connect App:

jen i got  it ty.. i just took a chance  and made a new app. and it works great.. it did'nt affect the fan page i had before, i had seen alot of people had asked about it on ning creators, so glad i got it..i did have a issue with how to enter info for the fan  page i couldnt see all the questions and couldnt scroll it down .. so i used ctrl AND - and was able to see all the questions  ning had on the app then.  I love the new sign in features now!  TY, Jen
