I am from Riga in Latvia and until recently I did not know much about social networks called nings however I got an invitation and joined one, after which I got several invitations for others similar social networks. There were many people on these private social network but one thing I noticed that at first called my attention was people using royal titles such as prince or princess of republics that I had never heard of. I naturally being one who has studied geography in my country found it strange how there could be so many places that offered titles yet I eventually looked these places on the net and found out they were not what I thought. This being old republics during the middle ages that went on to form part of a bigger country but contrary to this they were paper republics that existed only for the purpose of selling titles and nothing more. It being for fun or perhaps to give some the chance to either show off or feel regal at least at having the name if nothing more.

I found it silly at first how people either lied about having a title they did not have or told about one they bought for very little money from some place that was of no real importance other than on paper yet I did not pay much attention to this or at least not till I saw something different. I saw that some people claim to be the children of some royals who I have checked that it would be impossible for them to even be related to given that they either do not have children by the name they are giving or were dead before the person was born. It was after having made this observation that I started to think for myself why these people would go out of their way to pretend to be somebody they were not and it was then that I noticed the following. Most of these people have charities which people donate money to or they wish for people to donate to and it occurred to me that what they are doing is by saying they are the daughter or son of a famous royal to get people to trust them which would probably lead to more people sending them money for their charity organizations which perhaps are mostly for their own benefit if not completely. Of course this I do not know for sure but it seems strange to me that so many people with what are fake titles have set up charities. In this I do not mention specific names however I think for those who wish to donate to a charity that it would be best to investigate where we are donating as it could be like one of those many false lotteries.
