My New WordPress Blogsite!

Last month, I gave myself a birthday present (it's oh so meaningful, when you're good to yourself) :-D

I had a parked domain name waiting in the shadows, which I intended to use at some future time... but I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I had heard about WordPress in the past, and even had once set up an account with Blogger, but I didn't feel the "blogging spirit"... so it was a "no-go".

Then through the advice of Adela Rubio , my beloved (Diva Mama Tonya) decided to use WordPress to create a quick and functional website. Now, I want you to understand... when she made this decision, it really meant that I was going to be the one tasked for the project. LOL

We already had server space through Hostgator, which allowed us the ability to host unlimited websites, All we needed was a platform that would allow us the ability to create form and content, and WordPress provided that.

Well, as I got busy with the project... I discovered how easy it was. There are a lot of free elegant templates and supporting plug-ins which are quick uploads, and have the ability to transform your site into a work of art with high functionality. Here's my beloved's blogsite: Tonya K. Freeman. It was constructed within a day - with now, of course, many weeks of entries.

In seeing what could be done, I said "hey, this is real cool".... and I knew immediately how I was going to use my parked domain name.

I had forgotten how much I love to write, and express myself on the "word canvas". I began blogging last year, with the creation of Earth SonSpirit a webgathering promoting men's healing and well-being through self-discovery on the Ning Network. However, I needed something apart from the community, where I could explore and present various subjects and media offerings.

My gift to myself during the celebration of my 59th Annual Solar Return (birthday)... was my new blogsite: Sadaka Tehuti-Ma'at. Please come by to visit as often as you can. Although I'm just getting started, this is a blogsite that is structured for growth, and will touch many areas of the human experience.
