I think with advertising comes a degree of personal interactions. It's easier to support the books, cd's, bussines, of a person that at least tries to be socialable. In a world where everybody is selling or pushing some kinda product, we seem to have lost the human side of self. Imagine how wonderful folks ning sites would be if folks simply stopped to get to know each other.
