About Website
It's a private community where teachers exchange about their innovative experiences. I have no hierarchical on it, just a member, but I blogged about their teachers' manifesto at http://etcjournal.com/2010/07/13/italy-teachers-manifesto/ (I have a column at etcjournal.com)

The reason I'm using this form is that one of your members, Saniya Deen, posted http://creators.ning.com/forum/topics/pictures-in-blogs-are-now "Pictures in blogs are now LINKS? This is not copyright safe - Help!" and I can't reply to her on creators because I got ousted for having kept open a discussion on TrialPay E. Suesz wanted closed.
Could you please tell Saniya that no Copyscape or other alleged protection works? people really bent on saving pictures anywhere online can look up its URL in the source of the page anyway.
A pro photographer friend of mine solved that by putting online middle-res pictures: if people want a really good resolution, they have to order it and pay for it.
Best
Claude

Gosh, sorry to hear that your comment went poof. I bet it's because it takes too long for the Text Editor to load, from time to time. It's happened to me, and so aggravating. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,

Jen

Thanks for the welcome, Deborah, TheNetSurfCafe, Fantasyland and Jen. I tried to reply on your pages, but my reply went poof on Deborah's page.

Jen, you're right about picture protection: re watermarking, good idea if it can be done digitally, without it showing visually - some photographers I know would mind having a visible watermark on their work.

Welcome Claude!

And sorry, but I'm not willing to get involved in that discussion or to pass on messages. They will learn. I agree with you of course. There is absolutely no way to protect images online completely, except like you mentioned - - a lower res or watermark.

Best,

Jen
