This CSS will enable you to change the background color and the text color, of your Ning Network Description Box. For example, on the Ning Directory, currently it is a red box, with white text. If you need a color, and don't know the code, let me know. I'll help.

l can not get it to work. l want to have something besides white, but l follow your direction and still can not make it work.

Are you getting the code from the attached file or copying from above? Tell me what color you want, and I will try and email you the code. I noticed where you said you can't see anything in the files for header text/image. Try right click and SAVE AS to your computer.

There is a bug in this reply box, needs to be fixed unless you like it like that. And it still does not work. l copy the code from the e-mail that is the twin to the on you have here and in the file on here, and no go. It will not let me change my text color, will not work, no,no. l have a custom theme on my network, does this have anything to do with this?

All I can think of is yes, the custom theme is effecting the code. Add the code to the very bottom of CSS. Replace the very last semi-colon of each line with this:
!important; instead of just a semi-colon.

Yes, it is your theme, looking at your CSS, trying to figure this out...

Dear Fantasyland,
The bug you mentioned in the Reply boxes, is so we know who is being answered. You can delete the text under where you are replying.

I think this will fix your problem. Use this code instead of the other.

.xg_module.xg_module_network_description {
background-color: #000000!important;
color: #cc9933!important;
}
