I have tried all the codes offered here or elsewhere for images above header and it works for images but when trying to replace the image with a text link it doesnt show at all.

What am I doing wrong? I simply want a text link instead of a banner or any other image to show above my header and/or ning bar

Use this Add Facebook and Twitter Links Tip, and replace the xg_navigation with xn_bar, like this:
<script type="text/javascript">
x$(document).ready(function() {
// Insert a DIV Before the Top Bar module:
x$("#xn_bar").before('<div align="center" class="xg_module">Visit us on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/your_facebook" target="_blank">Facebook</a> and <a href="http://twitter.com/your_twitter" target="_blank">Twitter</a>.</div>');
});
</script>
Wonderful tip thanks Jen
My pleasure!

I've been having horrific Internet and Computer issues, not including Ning losing custom work for 2 Clients of mine (still trying to get all recovered) - - so far behind on work, I probably won't be around much until next Tuesday.

Have a nice weekend everyone who reads this!
;-)
Jen
