Update to Announcment - - I'm sorry to report: My pipes are no longer working, even after the upgrade to V2. They were working fine when I created this announcement. I can only deduct that this is a Yahoo or Ning problem. If anyone knows anything about these issues, please let us know about it, via this discussion.

If you are a Yahoo Pipe user, you better check your pipes. I worked for a while trying to figure out why two of my critical pipes were not running. Other pipes were running fine. I'm not sure what these two may have had in common, that they were not working. In other words, your pipes may be running fine.

Here's what I had to do:
1. Go to My Pipes
2. Click on each pipe that is not running.
3. Clicked on "upgrade to v2 beta"
4. Pipes fixed!

As in any beta, Yahoo will provide warnings about upgrading to the new V2 beta. However, they also provide a link to revert back to V1. Bottom line: This was the only way I could get my pipes to start working again. I tried all kinds of fixes - - even deleted pipes and started over. They still didn't work, until I clicked on upgrade.

What are Yahoo Pipes?

What is Pipes?

Pipes is a free online service that lets you remix popular feed types and create data mashups using a visual editor. You can use Pipes to run your own web projects, or publish and share your own web services
without ever having to write a line of code. Learn more...

For example, I use pipes to combine RSS Feeds. I may want to display JenSocial General Tips and Ning Tips in one feed. I create a pipe, and add 2 RSS feeds using the "pipes" "fetch feed" module. Yahoo pipes is quite intimidating at first glance. Don't panic. If you follow this simple tutorial, you'll be creating effective pipes in 10 minutes. Using Yahoo Pipes is a great way to display RSS feeds, and especially multiple RSS feeds.

Good luck!
