Wow, so much discussion on Creators.ning.com, we need more than Goggles to dodge the flying debris. Maybe a pair of knee high boots would help, too?

Ning 3.0 - - With all that's been discussed, from boycotts to debates, promises and rumors, you staying or going?

I'm up for the challenge, excited about the end product, and moving forward. What about you?

Hi Broom Riders,

Good to see you. Hope you hang around. =)

Best,

Jen

Thanks Jen..I'll have to make it a point to come HERE more often too!

=)

I've already turned two new 3.0 networks on (paying - not sandboxes) and am building new communities.

To me the technology is not the important thing (never has been - I was a BBS operator in the early 80s :) to building a engaging community.

For me there is enough with 3.0 (bugs excluded) to begin and not wait till mid-summer.

So, I've jumped in and very much enjoying it and believe I have a value proposition that those I'm trying to serve will appreciate (and isn't that what it's all about?) - will open both of them up to members this weekend.

Hi Pat,

Thanks for your thoughts. I hear you on the BBS days. =) I think once all features are implemented, 3.0 will knock the socks off 2.0. Can't say that it doesn't hurt big time to lose all the tips and work. But, change is always inevitable for real growth.

Best,

Jen

Hmmmm...good question. By the looks of my profile here, I never survived Ning 1.0 Lol! At least you can tell I've been doing this for a while. Nothing has stopped me yet. I will continue, "under protest".

Best, Anthony

Hi Anthony,

Sounds like a good plan to me. =) We need diversity and difference of opinions. It makes life interesting.

Good luck with it all,

Jen

I wouldn't change from NING2 to NING3, I heard from an "expert" that the new system SUCKS

ANYWAY, anyone must make their own choice.

SiNeh~,

I hear you. But unfortunately, in a bit over a year we'll have to change. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but want to make sure you realize this. I believe we will be given plenty of time to learn the new, and migrate once that part of the system is implemented. If you haven't seen the review/overview I wrote, you might find it helpful:

Best to you,

Jen

Stay. It's not much more than I pay now, if any more at all.

With so much content and google keywords on my site now, moving it all would be such a headache.

Besides, if you want to run a cheap social network, get a Facebook page.

:]

Adelaide,

There you go, well said.

Best,

Jen
