I actually posted this on Creators a little over a week ago, but since my posts NEVER make it to the front page any more, no one ever sees them:(

When I first started my job at the Oklahoma State Fair, I helped out a few different areas (Creative Arts, IT, and the area I was actually hired for). While helping the Creative Arts people, I had a discussion with one of the managers, who is also part of the IT department... And she mentioned a new social bookmarking site, although at the time she did not explain what it was. I pretty much forgot about it until last night... And even though I only just joined... I'm already hooked! What is this place? Why, I thought you'd NEVER ask!

So, what exactly IS Pinterest?

You can use it on your iPhone: iPhone App

It's easy to add a "follow me" button to any site, and you can also share your pins on Facebook easily.

You can even add prices to things... And link it back to a sales site!

But here's why YOU should care about this new site:

There is a bookmarklet that members can use to pin ANYTHING they like, from ANY website!

Here's an example:

You can add "Pin It" buttons to things on your network!!! I haven't tested this out on Ning yet... But if it doesn't work, I have a feeling they'll work with us, as they ask for input on their "help" area due to being new:)
