Hi,

I just started my community as well. I read others had the same problem  of low membership, which turns people off from joining ANYTHING!

Since, we are a community ourselves, why doesn't NING figure out a way creators support each other by joining their networks (An app, widget, tool bar, etc) to help bolster their membership members and help the NING communites flourish!

Because most of us do not want cross-breeding of sites. We want white label, and to own our sites as a unique entity. Does that make sense? Back when Ning went from white label to cross breeding, it practically ruined the value of any Social Community running on the Ning platform. In other words, just another Group. Now that Ning has gone back to the original platform (what I signed up for), the values are coming back, and respect in the Industry is coming back as well.

If you want to own a Social Community powered by the Ning platform, you will need to think of it as your business, not part of one big network. If the latter is what you want, there are a lot of Communities that will provide this, like a facebook Group.

Hope that helps enlighten, and best of luck,

Jen

Thanks Steve,

Didn't know about NING until three weeks ago and still learning HTML, I don't even know what white label is. You have helped alot! Thanks so much for helping a newbie like me out!
