Unfortunately there is no way to "edit" the footer, no built-in way that is. On giving out your email on a screen, up to you, but you will likely be bombarded with spam robots and spammers. We used to enter emails addresses on screen like this my_email [at] yahoo and that was safe. Now the spambots have started picking that up as well.

IMHO, What you need is a Contact Us page. That can be setup via the Ning Apps, or via new page and embedded code. If you utilize the Ning Apps version, make sure non-members can use it. Honestly, I don't remember. Just search for "Contact".

Since I've had a Contact Us form since way before Ning Apps - - and not that I like Ning Apps, way too slow. But I love APPS.IO Team who created the Ning Apps Contact Us Form. I use FormSpring. I love it, been using it for years. Once you receive so many contact forms via FormSpring, the previous ones will not be kept in the FormSpring database. I don't care about that, so never been an issue. I just delete the "warning message" that is within a new Contact Us email. It's a couple of statements about the database being full or something like that - - no biggie.

I believe you have the setting "on" for My Network/Members/Controls - -"Allow members to report login problems".

You can change the "Created By" to the network name by either:
1. Changing your member profile name
2. Keep your profile name and change via Language Editor.

Change Created By Via Language Editor:
Go to My Network/Settings/Language Editor/Select English (U.S.)
1. Under the title "Original Text..." and to the left of the button Search, search on these exact words and characters:
© %1$s   Created by %2$s.
or find the Created by that has the copyright symbol.
2. Replace the variable %2$s with your Network Name.
3. SAVE


Now, with all that said, here's a little trick I need to write a tip on, don't think I've shared this yet. If you keep it simply text, no links allowed - - you can add a word or few words after the Created by ... by adding this CSS to your Advanced CSS via My Network/Settings/Appearance
Just change "words after Created By Network Name" to your text.

Wow, Jen great info! Will try FormSpring and see how that works for us. And will mess around with the CSS tonight! :O)
