I started my network for people to share their interests in photography. I had just got a new camera and wanted to share my interest with others. The sites original name was photography corner.

People started joining and before I knew it the site was taking a different direction I intended it to take. People were saying to me they wanted a place they could go to where they felt safe. They wanted to go somewhere without the threat of being attacked by trolls. Hence this the name changed to fit the purpose and the site became known as Happycampers.

Ning had been very helpful in helping me develop a site where people feel safe. I am happy to say that I do not think I would consider using anther host for my site now.

I am now trying to invite people to the site who will be lonely this Christmas. I am hoping to provide them with an online experience to help them have a happier Christmas day that they otherwise would have.

As far as promoting the site I have used facebook and word of mouth. I am still looking for new ways to bring more members in and I am hoping the site will continue to grow.
