How To Create Widgets - Sample: Quote of the Day, Your Quotes in a cool widget! Great way for viral marketing.
It takes about 5 minutes to create this type of widget, very simple. If users of WidgetBox like your widget, or have a need for it on their blogs and websites, guess what?! They grab it, install it, and immediately start advertising for you. Visitors to their websites see it, like it, install it! It doesn't get much easier, and it's free.
- Go to WidgetBox.
- Follow the instructions. I'm going to give you some of the steps here, for a head start.
- This type of widget is called a Blidget. It's the easiest widget you can create, and very powerful.
- Create a Free Account.
- Click on Make a Widget.
- Select Blog/Feed.
- Go to the Blog/Feed on your Ning Network, you feel others will be interested in installing on their sites. You can even use your RSS Feed from your Photos!
- From your Blog/Forum on Ning, click on the RSS/Feed Button.
- Copy the URL for your Feed.
- Go back to WidgetBox and paste this URL in the box next to: Blog/Feed URL:
- Click on Continue.
- You're on your way! Follow the remainder of the screen prompts. Fill everything in, carefully. Good Luck and hoping you create and market some awesome widgets!
