Toggled Tabs Inline Vertically

I'm enjoying the use of Jens tip on toggled tabs.

I would like to see if this tip can go farther.

Is there away of having the toggled tabs inline vertically (like your menu bar) and the content items still drops down?

If I understand correctly, not with the current code. It would take a complete rewrite of the code.
