After seeing the new member leader board in our dashboard, is anyone else worried about the leader board that will be visible to our network members? I am lucky enough to have Scripts 4 Ning, so I have a pretty cool ranking system, but I was hoping Ning would improve upon that.

The leader board for the dashboard is pretty useless. I think the videos are ranked by their star rating and not by total views. My most popular discussions are months old. Maybe I am wrong, but I was under the impression the dashboard was going to give me a feeling of what was hot currently.

I am starting to think the only real improvements will be the facebook/twitter/open id login. Who really needs 25 text boxes? Sorry to complain but I am not sure Ning is really in touch with their clients anymore.

Ditto" I was hoping they would surpass the socialgo d tools...Hmmmm Same amount of money.....Who is using Socialgo?
I played around with Social Go but didn't ever launch a full site. I noticed they have unlimited storage and bandwidth plan for premium members. I'm not sure if that is a good decision or a desperate move.
My thoughts are, I believe that this first implementation of the new Ning is for several reasons:
1. Ning starts building a better revenue making model, for sustainability - - survival. Obviously, the free model was failing.
2. Ning has listened to premium customers, and leaning more towards a true white label.
3. Ning has built the foundation of the future, meaning: this is just the base software for the new platform. I believe the good features will come with each new update.

Just my thoughts,
Jen
