Hi,

I have been trying for days now to display a html code in a ning text box without ning executing it.

Eg. Text box contains an image promoting my ning site.  I would like people to be able to copy the html code for the image (and display the html code inside the text box) so they can paste the html into a gadget for their blog.

I'm no expert when it comes to html and I certainly cannot understand any of the things I've found whilst googling the topic.  I have come across things called iframes and scroll boxes but I can't figure it out.

If someone could help me I would be VERY HAPPY!!!

Thanks

Shell :)

I hope this will help you:

Let me know if not.
Best,

Unforuntately it doesn't help because I want people to be able to copy and paste the html code as is to receive the image when they upload it. If I replace the <> then the html image won't work when they try to use it.

Does this make sense?
It should work, unless I'm just too tired to think. When you replace the <> with the raw code I provide, it will display the code perfectly for your members to copy/paste into their own textboxes.

Thinking as I type - - I can see where an image may be a problem, but not positive what you want to do.

Can you add a text file here that contains the code you want a member to be able to grab (copy/paste)?
:-)
I have attached it. Thank you for your help with this!!!

Is this what you want them to see?

If yes, I have attached the text file where I replaced all < and > with the special codes I provided in the tutorial. You just use the text file code, paste in a text box, and you will see it the way it looks above.

Now, I have copied/pasted our code from the first reply I made (where I said is this what you want them to see?)

perfect!

Thank you so much. You're wonderful!!
