I am missing something and its driving me crazy!

I have a customized theme on "my page"  and I want to use it for the network. On my page the header spans, with the same code copied to the network appearance manger, it does not span (there is some additional code in this one for stuff I added).

What did I miss?    I know I need to work on the background gradient too,  I think I am close to figuring that one out, but any tips there would be great.

Help is SO much appreciated!  Thank you!   If you need to the CSS, let me know and I'll attach it.

No, not losing your mind. It's complicated. A theme for a profile page can be quite different than the home page. I don't work with profile page themes, sorry. I think you would be better served to ask one of the theme sites. I played with it for 30 minutes, and finally had to give up. There is so much code, and repeating code, I could not get the results I wanted, especially couldn't on the navigation bar.

If you added your header like this (in advanced CSS), instead of advanced options, you could make the top look the same. But, not being able to fix the navigation, it doesn't look very good.

body, .xg_marginbg {
background:url("http://girlriders.net/grnet/navigation-bg-bikes.png");
background-repeat:no-repeat;}

Best,
Jen
Thanks for trying Jen! Glad to know I'm not so crazy - at least today! I'm a member on Rainbow Construction, I'll try there.
Just wish I could have figured it out. Yeah, I think the Theme Creators will be better at the profile page CSS than I am. I've just not done much with the profile pages, always focusing on overall site design.
Good luck,
Jen
So, I woke up this morning, noticed some funky text in the code that I put there to remind myself of something, erased that and the header and nav bar filled up the top just like on my profile! Crazy. :D Thanks again, Jen!
Perfect! Actually, I should have thought of it. Because what I was doing, and it wasn't working, made no sense. And I usually think to check for errors. It's a relief to me to know the profile page CSS is not as goofy as it seemed. Thank you for this update.

Anytime there is an error in CSS, typically everything below the error will not work properly.
Like I said, great catch!
Best,
Jen
