Hey guys,

This might be a dumb question or maybe something thats not even possible..... basically I created a new web page 'About Us' by using the Tabs designer.

I created a new tab and selected 'create a new page' option. However when I go to the newly created page, I only see one text box.

My question is: Can i change the layout of this page? Can I add more text boxes, photo modules, other ning features, etc.?

Thanks for your help... Arjun

Unfortunately, no. However, you can add pretty much any HTML.

Best,

Jen

Thanks Jen. So will I add this HTML code in the custom code section? If I add it there, won't it effect all the other pages as well?

Hi Arjun,

What I mean by this: The one text page allows you to add just about any HTML you want to add. For example, you could add a table with columns and rows, and that would give you a nicer layout to work with. Any HTML you add is added directly to the new page "text box area".

In case you need it, here's a great site for learning more about writing HTML:

http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp

Best,

Jen

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here :-)

When I view the source code of the particular page, I see html tables, td, tr, div, etc. I know I can edit all of this and basically create as many tables and rows/columns I want within the same text box as per my requirement.  However, if I just edit the source page directly (in textpad or any other app such as dreamweaver), how can I save the changes on the ning network?

Do I update the html code in the 'custom code' section? Or do I require the file manager option for something like this? If I can do this in the custom code section, that would work out for me since I haven't subscribed for Ning Pro that has File Manager option.

Thanks... Arjun

Never mind... I was just being dumb!!

Got it... thanks a lot :-)

Try to add <style>... </style> and <script>....</script> in that page with HTML code together.

Actually CSS can do any layout if you are good in it. :)

For example, you can display:none any div/column/html tag you don't want.
