What do you do to relax? .. Kayak.. Canoe??

Sample of what is on my site. The things I enjoy the most about kayaking is once you buy your kayak, paddle, and PFD it is pretty much free from then on. No gas to put in it, not much that can go wrong with it. Great exercise, relaxing & peaceful after a hard days work, Great for stress relief too, paddle hard to release stress then paddle slow and gentle to relax and take in the beautiful sites and secluded beaches. After getting my… Continue

The state of our society

I recently received, via email, a prayer that was aired on the Paul Harvey show a few years ago. The email attributed the prayer to Billy Graham but it was actually a prayer written in 1995 by Bob Russell, pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. The prayer earned its fame when the Reverend Joe Wright, pastor of Central Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas recited it when giving the opening prayer for the Kansas House of Representatives in January 1996, (but he recited an… Continue

Learning through Knowledge Sharing

Tinker tech is an exercise of restraint and simplicity in designing a social network. This is not the typical social network that you usually encounter at Ning.com.

The mind is a powerful thing. Paige Aldridge learns this and more in Lynn Tincher's "Afterthoughts".

TRASHIN' FASHION: Clever Ecopreneurs

I'm shameless, I know. I posted this same info under discussions. But I'm also posting it here. Why? Because I'm looking for innovative ecopreneurs to showcase on my network, and I figured with all the creative people in this ning network directory, there's bound to be a few of you who hang with clever, creative and innovate folks who are working to help heal Mother Earth. Send them my way!

God Defined

MAN HAS ALWAYS TRIED TO DEFINE GOD, AND IN HIS ATTEMPED HE FORGOT ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING. WE WERE NOT PUT HERE TO DEFINE GOD, EVERYONE IN THEIR DAILY "LETS PREACH THE WORD" ROUTINE FORGETS THAT THEY REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT JESUS WAS LIKE ON A DAILY BASIS BECAUSE HE DID SO MANY GREAT THINGS THAT IT TOOK 66 BOOKS OF THE BIBLE TO TELL HIS STORY. SPECTACULAR PANORAMA: Bach and Some Thoughts

At the age of 64 I have a collection of 21 Bach LPs which I listen to as I write. I am a poet and writer living in Tasmania and am a retired teacher. I have been listening to Bach’s Trio Sonatas No. 5 & 6 and his six Chorals Praladri for 46 years, since the early 1960s. These pieces are, of course, from the baroque not the classical period, but such is life. From time to time I write a prose-poem to place my musical tastes in a personal perspective. I post this recent literary effort of… Continue
