Social Web Directory :: Social Network Directory :: Ning Tips and Ning Support
Hey Jen, Shawn again. I am using that social media bar on my website www.boxingsocialist.com and when I'm at work on my 22 inch wide screen it shows perfect, but when I am at home on my 17 inch monitor/pc it does not show. It's there because when I hold my mouse over where it "should" be, it let's me know that there's a facebook, twitter, rss, and contact. Also I noticed that it does not show up on my 15.4 inch laptop screen either.
Any help would be appreciated !!!

Permalink Reply by JenSocial on March 22, 2011 at 1:01pm Not trying to scare you. Just saying that you don't need to add tags like this to your custom code box:
HTML
BODY
HEAD
because it is not built for this. On any website those tags are loaded first. Sadly the custom code box was built for the code in it to load last.
Not sure what you're asking on the floating space?
I think the issue on the Social Media is simply missing CSS, maybe?
I don't need to join yet, can see pretty much everything. ;-)

I better copy and paste code to notepad first ... LOL

Permalink Reply by JenSocial on March 22, 2011 at 1:27pm Here's what has happened. You are grabbing code from the screen, instead of the attached text files, OR, you have "wrap" selected in notepad from the menu option "Format/Word Wrap". Also, if you grab code from screen and there is an image involved that has been uploaded to Ning, the image URL gets trashed.
Let me see if I can fix it. If not, you just need to grab the code from that attached text file for CSS and start over clean.
Let you know shortly,
Jen
