t's my belief that, in general, writing is writing. On the other hand, SUCCESSFUL or COMMERCIAL writing is self-expression plus communication. If you take the position, and I do, that your writing is to share a vision or emotional state with another, or with the culture at large, then you must care about the audience, the market. And even, yes, the critics.

Balancing these two needs -- to be utterly true to your own vision, and to be successful in the market is what I am here to help you do.
