The next update to the menu will include Javascript to highlight the current tab related to the current page people are viewing.

You have to look at the code in a program that does not attempt to display the final result. If you open the file in your browser, look at the source code rather than the browser window.

On a Mac use something like CODA.

We seem to have an issue on our live site when activating the menu, it works great except for on personal profile pages. Any thoughts?

On the test network its flawless including profile pages...

 

EDIT: Looks like the user will see a really really messed up navigation menu unless they go in and reset their theme to the network default and work it from there, any way to force the menu retroactively?

I'm sorry I have no idea really. You'll someone more skilled in coding than myself. I found the menu on the internet, tweaked it and also had a programmer friend help me on it.
