Quick Add menu bar - the idea that's missing

I love the Quick Add menu bar! It's one of Nings better ideas.

But it's missing the obvious: "take me there now".

 

I was thinking just a second line below with "go to" links. Take me to forum, take me to photos etc.

 

the trick is how to make it ONLY show up on the main page?

I'm confused on how to implement this... Sounds good though.

So far there is nothing to implement, because the "go to" menu would appear on every page and the Quick Add menu only appears on the Main page.

 

So it's an invitation to developers, if they can crack it.

Question: Are you sure no one has added a tip like this? If not, I'll look into what it would take. Seems in the back of mind I saw a tip from someone like Alex. Sorry to ask, but no time to search today. ;-)

I think we would all benefit from an "in your face" navigation bar that might inspire visitors to go visit the various segments of our networks. It just might be huge.

Turned out to be a real pain, LOL. Everytime I thought it was working, something would break, like the share links. Let me know if you use the code, and if you experience any issues.

Oh btw, if you go below instead of above, other formatting issues. You can try by changing before to after.
