Profile - Full Name

My network is school related and depends on the persons full name being entered when they join. I have adjusted the join form to reflect a need for this and later on in one of the profile questions they are again specifically asked if they did enter their full name in the formatat that we need. This does not always happen and requires me to insist and remove them after 10 days. It also sometimes require me to lead them through the process and it would sure be nice to short-stop this error in the beginning.

Sooo, is there a way to code a requirement in the join form to require at least a 2 string text be entered? I notice that all Ning join forms request a full name but there is no cross check to make sure it was done,,,as I did with my profile.

Hi Mike,

I don't know of a way to do this, other than custom script. That could be a challenge and a scripting fee. I suggest asking TJ of jqueryhelp.ning.com about this one.

Absolutely a great re-direct Jenn. I gave him the problem and within 48 hours I was able to install it!! Fee was reasonable for the headaches that this script will cure. TY for pointing me to him.
