Social Web Directory :: Social Network Directory :: Ning Tips and Ning Support
Here it is: http://www.thefashionglobe.com/ning-premium-theme/
Since we're leaving Ning, we wanted to share the code used for several years to design the Fashion Globe Network.
We have been building a huge private community dedicated for Fashion Professionals worldwide using this layout. Just Google "The Fashion Globe" and you will see, we're even on the press.:)
With this code you have a stunning design. Our developer has been working several months customizing the network to get this result.
You save hundreds of hours spent to customize the default Ning layout to make it look unique and professional!
All you need to do is to download and paste the code to the advanced section of your Ning Network.:)
Enjoy and Happy 4th July!!!

Thanks! This is an elegant theme - - very nice! How would one download the code? I went to the site and looked all over and never really saw a way to download or for someone to purchase.
Happy 4th back! I've been in/out more than normal and just seeing your discussion.
Best Regards,
Jen

Very nice of you, much appreciated your comment and that the discussion was featured. The theme is truly elegant, a lot of screenshots have been posted on the link and to be franck it looks even better than the screen pictures when you put the code on a Ning Network.
There's a download button at the end of each page and added few other buttons so now it's more visible.
Let me know if you need any help? And thank you again enjoy your week end!:)

It is pretty important item.
I would like to use your code if you can fix it. I have removed and navigation code and the header code you provided for now.
Permalink Reply by Hitch on July 18, 2012 at 8:34pm Sorry for the delay of my response. We never had an issue with the navigation bar code and the sign in/sign out option. If you add the code on a new ning site and delete all the default code it works fine.It depends also if your site is private or public. If you have already coded your site, you need to investigate and see what is causing the issue with firebug. This should be very simple to fix.
Unfortunetaly we don't offer customization support but you have with this theme already 100% of the customization work already done for a very clean and elegant result. You can naturally adapt it after to your specific requirements with a bit of coding.

but I don't know why the design is really similar to mine.
http://sorachiiworks.blogspot.com/2010/12/ning-theme-simplicity.html
It's like taking part of it.

Thanks,

Permalink Reply by Hitch on August 25, 2012 at 12:20pm Hi Sora,
Thanks for your comment. I've been checking your link and don't find any kind of similarity with the theme provided above, except the profile page which I agree looks a bit similar to ours.
I don't think a Georgia font and 'About Me' little style detail on the profile section can truly be a good reason to accuse other designers of "taking part of your code".
Your theme as I see is not a running community site, so I don't understand how we can copy your code? Our theme has been created from scratch in 2009 and we have been on Ning since 2007.
I'm sorry if you feel this way but you must accept that designers can have a similar idea on a specific detail like many websites we find on the web. And this is not a reason to accuse the Telegraph UK to use the same headline fonts/color of the New York Times if you got what I'm telling.
Best,

Thank you for clearing it up :)
Permalink Reply by Hitch on December 20, 2012 at 9:05am Ning has disabled an important feature which consist to revert the design lab to the old developer mode:
http://jensocial.com/group/ningnetworktips/forum/topics/how-to-remo...
With this option disabled it was very simple to add and paste the full code. It worked with many themes until they decided to simply disable the feature!
So the code will not work with the actual design policy and need to be adapted.
Therefore we can delete the discussion because it's outdated.
Permalink Reply by JenSocial on December 20, 2012 at 12:38pm Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I forgot about my tip. I deleted the discussion.
Are you saying we need to delete your discussion as well? Just want to confirm.
Best Regards,
Jen
